Top 7 Best Zombie Games For Kids

Top 7 Best Zombie Games For Kids
These zombie games, both new and old, are ideal for a younger audience. When it comes to selecting appropriate video games for children, zombies are not the first thing that springs to mind. However, the horror genre is so popular that there are certain children's games available that younger gamers can enjoy without experiencing nightmares. The variety of games also spans the entire age range, from smaller children seeking something simple and predictable to older children seeking more of a challenge. Many of these games are released around Halloween, but their persistent popularity means they may be found at any time of year.

MediEvil (2019)

MediEvil (2019)
Welcome back to Gallowmere, the land established in the original version of this game, which was launched in 1998, and Sir Daniel Fortesque's exploits. Sir Daniel died at the head of an army trying to destroy the big enemy, Zarok, but was beaten and now returns as a zombie to redeem himself. The 2019 edition of the game is a recreation of the original, retaining the original's charm while updating the graphics, sound, and other technical components. Anyone with access to an ancient Playstation can, however, test the original. It features some RPG aspects, such as a selection of weapons and other gear and the use of a map to select places of varied difficulty for the player to level, but it's primarily a hack-and-slash action-adventure game.

Plants Vs. Zombies (2009)

Plants Vs. Zombies (2009)
This is the first game in what is now a successful and expanding franchise. Plants vs. Zombies is a PopCap production that was always designed as a mobile game and remains one, despite its amazing popularity, which has given it an audience on practically all PC platforms and consoles, as well as both Android and iOS. In this example, the tower is a house, and the garden plants are designed to defend the house against zombie incursions by utilising a variety of powers that include both defensive and offensive options. The graphics are colourful and humorous, enough to distinguish between friend and foe. But nothing in this bloodless zombie game will frighten anyone.

Warcraft 3 (2002)

Warcraft 3 (2002)
A classic RTS game that is enjoyable for players of all ages. Players can choose to lead one of several factions, one of which is the Undead. According to the lore of the time, these may be the Scourge or the Forsaken. Both of which were led by the Banshee Queen, Sylvanus Windrunner. There was a single-player campaign with Sylvanas as the main character for some of the missions. But this is an RTS game, not an MMO, so it's more about battlefield management than character development. It's the multiplayer mode that allows each player to select a faction, and some of the units. Such as the Death Knight and the Crypt Lord, are evocative of those found in World of Warcraft.

Infectonator 3: Apocalypse (2018)

Infectonator 3: Apocalypse (2018)
A nice little simulator that lets you play as the bad guy for a change, not as a zombie. But as the villain infecting the globe with a deadly virus. Instead of being at the mercy of the apocalypse, the player has control over it. Carefully distributing the lethal virus in public places and acquiring greater strength and resources as the virus and zombies develop. After infecting a specific number of individuals. The player can enhance their virus and undead minions to make them more effective and powerful. The entire series is similar, but the most current episode features some of the strongest scenery and character design ideas.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors (1993)

Zombies Ate My Neighbors (1993)
Zombies Ate My Neighbours is so easy, nostalgic, and stupid that any gamer would enjoy it. It's from the LucasArts library of adventure games that were popular in the 1990s. But it's more of a shooting game than an adventure, but it does have some of the same components, such as a logical storyline. Players can play in single-player mode, switching between the two main characters. Or in traditional two-player style. Slope Game was initially intended for consoles such as the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. But it now operates on Windows, Switch, and there is also a PlayStation 4 version.

Death Road To Canada (2016)

Death Road To Canada (2016)
Death Road To Canada is as irreverent and strange as the title suggests, and while the humour is a little mature, kids will enjoy the cartoony graphics and wacky gags, some of which reference horror icons such as George Romero. The game asks players to flee the zombie-infested United States and get to Canada, which appears to be zombie-free. The game is rogue-like, with each escape attempt producing a fresh scenario. And it features a variety of weaponry for players to employ against the zombie horde. Surviving zombie sieges and choosing between several narrative options are also challenging.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (1991)

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (1991)
Some of the gags in this puzzle game are older allusions intended for gamers who were part of the original target demographic back when Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge was initially released. Another LucasArts adventure is one of the more well-known examples. And while it contains elements of horror, it is still a game that children may enjoy. The gameplay is old-school point-and-click, like was popular in the 1990s, and the puzzles aren't too difficult. In 2010, a special edition of the game and others in the franchise were released. And the original one is also good despite its primitiveness. Later games in the series are playable by gamers under a certain age. But the difficulty curve skyrockets after the second entry.
